Face on Famous

As I started this project, I could tell it was going to be fun and I can be pretty creative in the ways that I do the face swaps. the only issue is:Celebrity photos didn't for me. I just couldn't find the way to edit them to make them look very good. In the end, I ended up using 3 movie posters instead and it turned out extremely well. These turned out good and so I ended up using them for my project.

This poster for Face on Famous originally was Aaron Paul because he is the main character. I loved this movie, so I thought it wouldn't hurt to try and use this as 1/3 for Face on Famous.

This poster for Face on Famous originally was Matthew Broderick because he is the main character. I loved this nostalgic classic, so I thought it couldn't hurt to try and use this as 1/3 for Face on Famous.

This poster for Face on Famous originally was Leonardo Dicaprio because he is the main character. I've had a passion for this movie, so I wanted to try and make this work as 3/3 for Face on Famous.

Surrealism

When I heard about this project, I was excited for the endless possibilities that came with it to make fantasy happen. After practicing, I thought of a couple ideas that seemed good and I stuck with them until finally, they were full, finished products. From drawing a painting to a void hand and finally to tac shoes, these were the ideas I brought to the final steps of editing, although there were a couple I trashed because of how bad the idea was.

For the two above, I took a picture of my whiteboard with frame and I photoshopped on the the paintings on my wall into it. Then, after adding the hand, I believe it causes the effect of surrealistic art.
For this one, I decided to do the theme of hidden emotions or introverted into music. Hiding oneself into something as simple as music. Because everyone wants an escape from reality, everyone relates to this photo.
This one was just plain creative. It kind of creates a paradox/oxymoron due to the fact that Tacs are in the shoes and obviously that would be uncomfortable.
The two past this are practice:

Triptych

For these photos, I had Madison pose with different props as I took photos. She had light up glasses, wings, and a beanie. Afterwards, I used perspective and drop shadow to give a sort of 3D look. This project was pretty simple and straight-forward and I didn't have any trouble due to my experience with Photoshop.

Pic in a Pic

To do this, I first did the inside with posterization and then the outside with desaturated solarization. These effects gave the photo a unique look and filter. This gave a special edge to the color and just overall provided Emphasis onto the Skittles. The effects were easy to do and I didn't have any trouble doing any of the picture work at all.

Solarization, Posterization, & Lithography

Going into this project, there were many different ideas I had, but these were the ones that survived the harsh test of time. I also decided the other ones didn't look good like these photos, which look great. The effects were no trouble, even though the settings for Lithography were really touchy. One wrong setting and it would not look as good as it does now.
With this one, I took a picture of my friend Stephen with a lamp turned on coming from the side. This gave a different in brightness as well as contrast and when it was Solarized, it ended up giving off plenty of Macky lines.
This one was taken with my dad's professional camera by me and I had my girlfriend model. I wanted an idea for Posterization and what better to make than something romantic!

This last one was taken of Stephen again on his board in the basement. In the backround, it's a little busy due to many objects and a lot of light from behind him, but the idea is there and it is original with the fact that you can see his face through the visor as well.

Selective Color

The Selective Color of any photo will always look nice to me as well as doing it to natural things like flowers and eyes. The objects I used for selective color were easy to work with and hard to mess up. I knew how to do this before the class so I got done with it very fast and used my free time for productive things.
This technique was the art-history brush and I used this photo for it because of how the eye pops out more due to everything else being desaturated.
I took a picture of my Playstation 2 and the Playstation logo on the side. As I loaded it in photoshop, I decided to use this photo for the Hue/Saturation technique due to the lack of colors it had beforehand.
After taking this picture of my light-up glasses, I knew I needed to use it for the desaturate technique. The glow from the glasses highlights the subjects.

Collage and Typology

The Collage and Typography projects were easy as well, just a lot of Photoshop work was need. The wheels needed to be placed inside each other with different shapes and sizes and also the Typography of video games was done well, but it could've been better with the cases being alphabetized. Eventually, the technical work was over and I was finished.
This one consists of my friend Stephen's wheels for his longboards. I grabbed a couple pairs and took pictures of the wheels and photoshopped them in a unique way so the entire photo is one of a kind.
This picture shows the organized typology of Stephen's video games. From Aliens to Transformers, there are a variety of games here in a variety of genres/
